Is professional or personal
development coaching for you?
As a coach, I aim to help you recognise where you want to be in life and how you can get there, as well as identifying the potential that already exists within you. As a coach, I will never tell you what to do, but will support you through decision making, and give you the time and space to talk about how you’re feeling, as well as understanding what your goals are.
You may be unsatisfied with your current job and feel like you want to leave your comfort zone, yet something keeps you from making the jump. You may be worried that a career change is irresponsible; “what if” running through your head But the thing is, if your job is making you unhappy, you owe it to yourself to consider finding something more fulfilling.
Studies have proven that an unhappy working life has significant negative impacts on our mental health – so yes, you may receive a decent pay packet, but will that help with your future mental health? Long term stressful environments and demands, can directly affect your mental health. Thought to ponder over – Money cannot buy your health or mental health.
I understand now more than ever, it is difficult to consider change when the whole world is changing, and it feels there are less choices out here. This makes it difficult but certainly not impossible. As a coach, I will support you in making these initial steps, setting you on your way to a more fulfilling life. This is accomplished through a series of questions and techniques designed to help you recognise, accept and build upon your strengths and weaknesses.
During your coaching journey, you will be given the opportunity to assess your emotional well-being and how you chose to progress in your life. You will consider whether you are happy, whether you are reaching your goals, and assess your state of mind and your relationship with. family and friends along the way. You will understand and be able to positively manage your negative thinking before setting your goals which can be empowering. If you have long-term goals, that’s a great way to look towards the future and keep you motivated, but you can break this down into short and medium goals.
During your coaching sessions, you will develop yourself and build your confidence. You will recognise your achievements, however big or small and learn to praise yourself for the small things which in turn will help develop your positive mindset.
